Monica’s interest in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine stems from her own need to seek alternative care due to her active lifestyle. She is an avid snowboarder, cyclist, and runner. She has encountered many injuries and East Asian Medicine has helped aid her through recovery. Monica has always had a strong passion to help people in any way that she can. Through her nearly four-years of training at Bastyr University she is now able to help her local community on a more profound and personal scale.
Monica’s Philosophy is to quickly get to the root of her patient’s problems, and not just mask the symptoms. She has a passion for treating women’s fertility, menstrual issues, and all menopause related care. Monica’s skills allow her to work with patients who are dealing with pain at all levels from acute to chronic, and she also has a heart for treating emotional imbalances. She utilizes all aspects of East Asian Medicine to help her patients achieve the health and wholeness that they desire.
“If you pull a weeds’ flowers, stems, and leaves it will grow back. If you dig down deep and get to the root you will be treating the creator of those stems, leaves, and flowers.” – Monica Szelachowski
